Yes, there’s still that today? “… Undistorted and ass-kicking Rock ‘N’ Roll in the style of AC / DC with Bon Scott-Blessed Times spiced with a dash of Southern rock a la Lynyrd SYKNYRD and the snotty-consuming some of the flair QUIREBOYS. This conclusion is almost wedges after the first run of THUNDER HAWKS ‘debut self. While Singer Tony Sarno grooving mightily in the opener “The Chain Brake” is brilliant as the late AC / DC Icon to their best days, the following Rammers “Sick & Tired” a proper Southern-stroke side. Other hand can be relaxed in the “For Crying Out Loud” or oppressively-bluesy “Spirit” parallels to the QUIREBOYS or ZZ TOP not be denied. Shoot the bird THUNDER HAWKS, however, with “The Dog Will not Hunt”, because this number combines typical STATUS QUO-Groove Schweinegeil with charm by AC / DC. It appears that their preference to the Australian rock in the primary rocks Knaller “Punching The Clock”, which due to its “hoi hoi” choruses quite provocative to “TNT” recalls. It will be interesting to see whether the aging ranks of AC / DC with their new album this dynamic debut can oppose something. Conclusion: the unpolished and honest Rock ‘N’ Roll is simply not easy to kill – thank God!

Thunder Hawks – Gleiche

The Thunderhawks are a band more than tragic, because before they could properly Right, they were a result of the death of one of its central figures also once again at the end. To mourn the great singer and second guitarist of the band, Tony Sarno, whose meticulous initiative fans finally the present publication of this already disappeared in the sinking, in November 2000 completed recordings owe to the dead-still sad circumstances with the melancholy words: “What would have made the Thunder Hawks can only be”? Who hears these shots, the suspects, as they had entered! The personal tragedy at stake was that of the gifted guitarist Eddy Shaver! Many know that the son of the Texas country legend Billy Joe Shaver on 31 December 2000 to a heroin overdose died, shortly after the conclusion of this first-Recordings Thunder Hawks! What Eddy Shaver for an animal on guitar, is well known. He toured for years in the band of his father, as well as with several other Texas-warhorse through the country, played Outlaw Country and Country Rock in all variations. But, and this was no secret, this guy also had the blues and, above all, the Rock’n Roll in the blood.
We thank Tony Sarno, that he has lost the rock Pearl has made accessible to the public! Yes, yes, what hääte from the Thunder Hawks probably be … – We can only guess. But one thing we know for 100 percent of your first and only album is an absolute Hammer!

Thunder Hawks – Gleiche
In connection with this band, we read often it was “Georgia Satellites meets AC / DC”. We could not really imagine, but it actually sounds like that. Earthy roots rock with the ex-Satellite Keith Christopher on bass and singer and producer Tony Sarno really sounds to Bon Scott. The album was in fact already in the summer of 2000 with the now deceased Eddy Shaver on guitar recorded. A clear rocktip!
Highlights: the opener “breal The Chain”, “do not come crying to me”, “That dog will not hunt” and “Evil women” (hard rock a la Deep Purple)

Classic American riff rock/ southern rock. The Thunderhawks were the band of singer/shouter Tony Sarno and guitarist EDDY SHAVER, who died shortly after finishing these sessions. Raw, powerful, honest no-nonsense rock.

Thunderhawks – it sounds not like an exuberant, “thundering” Rock’n Roll thunderstorm? Yeah! And what a “cool” music that is! When took the Georgia Satellites to ZZ Top, AC / DC and increased output of the Stones, with a fine-Lynyrd Skynyrd Southern Impact! Crazy strong! But it is also no surprise with these musicians! But after the series: The Thunderhawks are a band more than tragic, because before they could properly Right, they were a result of the death of one of its central figures also once again at the end. To mourn the great singer (sings partly somehow negligent and snottily cool, then he yells at all the best Bon Scott-style) and second guitarist of the band, Tony Sarno, whose meticulous initiative fans finally the present publication of this already disappeared in the sinking , in November 2000 completed recordings owe to the dead-still sad circumstances with the melancholy words: “What would have made the Thunderhawks can only be”? Who hears these shots, the suspects, as they had entered! The personal tragedy at stake was that of the gifted guitarist Eddy Shaver! Many know that the son of the Texas country legend Billy Joe Shaver on 31 December 2000 to a heroin overdose died, shortly after the conclusion of this first-Recordings Thunder Hawks! That Eddy Shaver was an animal on guitar, is well known. But, and this was no secret, this guy also had the blues and, above all, the Rock’n Roll in his blood, and the variety of the filthy! After Sarno and Shaver, the others in the group were ex-Georgia Satellites-founding member and Dan Baird companion Keith Christopher on bass, while the drum motor “Rick Donley on drums complete the quartet finally! The result is a merciless outgoing, well-hardened, straight, southern-fueled Hi-Energy Power House Boogie-Rock’Roll-Kracker, absolutely nothing can get burnt! The whole is characterized by a rich, voluminous, full of dirty guitar sound and explosive dynamics bubbling solos (Eddy Shaver)! They slam us with the boys with a plethora of great, fatter riffs, crunching rhythms and gorgeous hooks the Hucke voll! Goes well with the bones! Ballads, one searches in vain! This is brilliant rocked – direct, hard, loud, powerful, always hang consistently good, with strong melodies, dirty, cooking, krachend! Accordingly, rich, snotty Stones-like riffs reveal the magnificent, thunderous opener “Break the chain, which in fact equal to all chains break. Sounds like a cross between the aforementioned Stones, The Georgia Satellites and AC / DC! Class, some nice roaring vocals, a properly depressed and an animal, the air guitar freaks in rapture meet hot fiery guitar solo by Eddy Shaver, the Rock’n Roll joy perfect. People, and turning the sound to me more control to ask an official position! A Southern-impregnated heavy guitar intro of the mark Skynyrd will open the rich, straight riff-Boogie “Sick & tired”, with a great melody and neatly smoking lead guitar. Wonderfully cool again quite melodic, but extremely dirty and with major depressive percussion then meet us on the fantastic “Spirit,” interrupted in the middle of a wrong, overexcited, short and noisy slide solo, and finally back into the old nonchalance to lapse without even a spark of energy playfulness. Saustark also with a lot of Southern soul and blues-equipped and sultry, a little of the Black Crowes-like “Out on the farm”, from the bold “ZZ Top meets Georgia Satellites”-like riffs influenced “Do not come crying to me “(it seems to turn a Boogie Train” as an unstoppable, heavy colossus his rounds …), the ardent southern-drenched rocker “That dog will not hunt” with his guitar solo cooking and the roaring Bon Scott like vocals, the crunchy, quite relaxed and very melodic “For crying out loud”, etc., etc.! There is no failure partout! We thank Tony Sarno, that he has lost the rock Pearl has made accessible to the public! Yes, yes, what hääte from the Thunder Hawks probably be … – We can only guess. So minimalist as the front cover is the music of THUNDERHAWKS not (quite), but here nonetheless governed rather simple, honest rock. FOUR HORSEMAN bands like AC / DC, GEORGIA SATELLITES, Black Crowes or ZZ TOP times were referred to as a reference point. Mainman and producer Tony Sarno (voc., g.) has done the whole job. Dry Boogie Rock, with one pinch of blues and Southern rock spiced comes around the corner, should always and at all times, friends. “Thunderhawks” was already in 2000, including the Metropolis Country Nashville (USA) added, however, after the death of guitarist Eddy Shaver initially put on hold. To wait, but still release was a truly wise decision, because the pieces are much too good to get in some dusty archives …

The opener ‘Break The Chain’ is sometimes no prisoners. Furztrockener, intense rock with a singer (Tony Sarno), the more heavily than once to the legendary Bon Scott compared on “Thunderhawks’ light Country bonds ( ‘Out On The Farm’). None of the ten tracks somehow falls back on, all hold a very high level. ‘Don’t Come Crying To Me’ stands out a simple rhythm, which simply goes to the legs and into the ear veins festbrennt. Even ‘Evil Woman’ captivates with a healthy portion of emotion and has a great groove. If ‘For Crying Out Loud’ is easily balladesque without really leaving the rock path. Class number! “Thunderhawks” is good, warm and tired of producing and breathes rock ‘n’ roll through every pore. A network address, the Americans seem not to have, but under http://www.justforkicks.de you will find it.

Your hard-earned monies are well-invested in THUNDERHAWKS however. This disc also loses after the umpteenth pass none of their freshness and attitude. A real highlight of the past year! This type of rock was born in the seventies, but never been away and will continue to be relevant. As I go every wager …

Anspieltipps: Break The Chain, Spirit, That Dog Will not Hurt, Out On The Farm, Crying out Loud, Evil Woman

Old Cars and Rock & Roll … always come too late, said Hannes Bauer already years ago. For some rock’n’roller’s all too late, which are in fact dead Eddy Shaver is a. Incredibly talented, inherited from father preloaded Billy Joe, junkie, died in December 2000. Unfortunately, he and his departure also the end of the band THUNDER HAWKS and this is a pity, because the were in the same year her first CD, which then spent five years with singer Tony Sarno dusty until it finally was published.

“Thunderhawks” is like an old car. The fact that not only look better than today’s wind tunnel models, but also a lot geiler sound, is every car tuner known. We have no idea about cars, but in the Rock & Roll, we are very great and so now we sit around the stereo and shake their heads and with a stamp with their feet and drink beer and smoke and talk shit, all of which would can happen if Eddy had not verpisst. Probably he would, together with Sarno and my favorite Christopher Keith (that’s the good-mood of the party animal GEORGIA SATELLITES and Dan Baird) on a perpetual tour, and would give us sometime in the club in the neighborhood of the value of all Estonians to stand with Boogie pressure. We would sweat and bawl, to whimper and encores the next day hangover and louder before the bosses ignore numbness. Would you want that? Then go out and buy this damn CD, and hopes that Tony Sarno actually Wayne Perkins as the new guitarist snaps and makes us all. Go!

Up to Evil Woman by Larry Weiss (also has many other hits, such as Hi Ho Silver Lining Rhinstone or cowboy composed) and the beautiful Southern-Country-rocker Out On The Farm and the AC / DC Bastard Punching The Clock, in cooperation with Perkins emerged, all the songs from Sarno, Christopher Shaver and very well written and sounds this CD: To the Bone Rock & Roll with a lot of southern flair, mercilessly riffenden guitars, endless groove and Sarno as Heulboye between Bon Scott, Dan McCafferty, and many other principle suspect hardcore rockers. Others compare the band with the Black Crowes or Four Horsemen. Please, if it serves the truth. Are also all great bands.
My goodness, sounds like you Rammers Sick & Tired or That Dog Will not Hunt and tell me who is not all the hair up. This is a license to rock forever deprived. Haha, this is so. Never never never will be music, which is a multi-packs of the eggs than it does and the Boogie’n’Roll THUNDER HAWKS are very much at the forefront Grabber. Well, that For Crying Out Loud in between a Midtemposong by Keith Christopher comes. The would also have an album at the satellite may be represented, but is borrowed from the YAYHOOS and shows the whole feeling of the band in order to Sarno wonderfully.

The THUNDERHAWKS are like a paddle steamer at full speed or as a 57er Chevy with 85 miles on the highway. Paddle steamers and old Chevys are great!

Actually, there is the discussion of my Vorrezensenten not much to say because he has actually in all aspects right. Only the assessment I would not start as high as five stars should really top-slices reserved. -But at least deserves the single CD of the band an honest ‘Very good’!

The Thunderhawks had a really brash rock combo with a powerful drauflos bollerndern Biker Rock delivers. The comparison with AC / DC is lagging in my view a bit (as I said: a little bit to me as it often lacks the necessary hardness), but bands like the Georgia Satellites, Four Horseman Black Crowes, or can be compared to the Thunderhawks without if and however, be mentioned. (All the way, great band!)

The individual takes the wheel, I now no longer in particular the size of a. Listen to only times Rammers like ‘Sick & Tired’ or ‘punching the clock’ and you know what it is to the Twelve. I personally liked ‘Pouring Rain’, with a very beautiful guitar intro up all time and the robust ‘Evil Woman’ particularly well. The remaining songs are by the bank are all right ‘thoroughbred rocker’ performed flawlessly! -Always nice durchwirkt of this f; tzgeilen ( ‘Sorry!), Always powerful outgoing Boooogie! Here, the guitars rip here and there röchelt the organ that it is a true joy. The now and then durchblitzende southern flair and knochentrockne Texas Rock is doing his Rest and the band makes me very sympathetic. Not that the Thunder Hawks a Southern band would have been, but many of Shavers schwerblütigen guitar riffs clearly aimed in that direction (hears’ Out On The Farm ‘).

Finally, a little history: The Thunderhawks, under their Master Minds Eddy Shaver (guitar) and Tony Sarno (vocals), took up this disc already in the course of the year 2000. In December 2000, Shaver died, severely heroin dependent, to the consequences of his addiction. Why the recordings in this disc then Tony Sarno, over five years Grünspan leveraged, the white vulture. Fortunately, the dusty tapes not entirely behind Sarno’s TV, so this fetzende R’n’R-neck breaker debut but still the way to light and in the shops was held.

Well, Eddy Shaver is dead, The Thunderhawks well. Thus, the output of the band is relatively clear. So come forth, all you rockers, bikers and troublemakers and buy this album in abundance. It is a few euros on it at the moment that wages must, in every single cent worth! Eventually there will most times of the individual items are searched, which is why the saying ‘The early bird catches the worm “applies here especially! -Does that
mean that I do not and says he knew nothing!

I start out with the conclusion: Whoever likes to rock with crunchy guitar riffs a la AC / DC, Black Crowes, or Georgia Satellites stands MUST buy this CD!
Equal to the opener “Break The Chain” is AC / DC going on with a moderate chorus that can not get rid of the feeling is here that the Australians personally at work.
“Sick & Tired” is characterized by a guitar line that damn Dan Baird of Georgia Satellites recalls, which is not surprising, because the bass player for the Thunderhawks, Keith Christopher, since the early nineties when it’s all solo projects, which – as can you know at some stuff from the master copy. Gesangsmäßig sounds “Sick & Tired” like the Black Crowes to their best times.
“Spirit” comes the other hand, quite cool, and therefore has a groove, which one is difficult to escape.
“Out On The Farm” is a Midtempo number with a very nice chorus, but not particularly exciting.
“Don’t Come Crying To Me” has the typical back-reef Dan Baird, vocals again somewhere between Black Crowes and AC / DC.
“That Dog Won’t Hunt” is in the old AC / DC with Bon Scott era.
“Punching The Clock” is another thing on top: Damn close to “TNT”!
“For Crying Out Loud” has nothing to do with the old Meat Loaf number to do so. Sounds thanks to the acoustic guitar a bit like early Rod Stewart (Maggie Mae).
“Evil Woman” is not related to the same woman from the Electric Light Orchestra. Overall, the weakest piece on the CD – well naïve, you can skip it.
“Pouring Rain” that reconciles us back in familiar fashion, but relatively not as strong as the first two pieces.
Altogether a furious album, which towards the end, unfortunately, little air and ideas, but for initial target called a must-have. Also acknowledge the clear and powerful production – no frills directly to the point! And all this – or so I assume – with relatively modest financial resources.
Reinhartshausen musically there would not be due to the levels consistently held “only” four stars, but the fifth, the five musicians for their innocence and snottier deserves the man so many other band today would wish!

It is always worth a headline, if old recordings no longer existing bands are found, the speculation regarding the publication or the achievement of exorbitant sums at auctions nurture. Such a headline Thunder Hawks have certainly earned the circumstances which led to this late release, but all the more tragic. As so often in this business, Eddy Shaver died at the end of 2000 to a heroin overdose. Even if my reasons of this phenomenon of early death will always remain hidden, died at Eddy not only the guitarist of Thunder Hawks, but also the whole band. Well, almost 5 years later, Tony Sarno, voice and guitarist of the band, the dusty tapes finally revealed to the public and brought us a rock ‘n’ roll gem reveals that it is truly worthy to be heard. Directly with the opener ‘Break The Chain “surrounded us the tools with a flair of AC / DC, including voice Sarnos strongly reminiscent of Bon Scott. How much is’ That Dog Will not Hunt ‘clear. The comparison should also be clear what this disc does not have. It is used in fine style and rocked gegroovt, the guitar riffs are the pieces that only the brightest joy and you would like to see the musical performances would be in front of a live play. But who knows, maybe this wish is one day, but still met. Until then, this excuse as a replacement disc.
