• The Thunderhawks play Jeff Fest at Eastside Bowl

The Thunderhawks are playing a short set at 4:30.

    Thunderhawks play AC/DC '74-'79

Original Thunderhawks members Rick Donley and Tony Sarno, along with bassist Kyle Miller and guitarist Ken McMahan are playing a set of Bon Scott-era AC/DC. With the expansive catalog of great songs to choose from, it will be hard to limit it to a 90-minute set, but needless to say it will be rocking from the first chord. Pictured are the original lineup with the late Eddy Shaver and Keith Christopher (now with Lynyrd Skynyrd) who will be sorely missed, but their substitutes certainly won't be slouches. The first date will be December 15th in Franklin Tennessee at The Whiskey Room @ King's Bowl then the next night at the band's very favorite rock club in the world; RT. 33 RHYTHM AND BREWS in Wapakoneta Ohio on December 16th. Additional dates will be posted as they are added.

Tony Sarno Band Plays the music of Muscle Shoals

Aretha Franklin recorded hits in Muscle Shoals, as did The Staple Singers, Wilson Pickett, The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Bob Scaggs, and so many more. There was even some great reggae recorded there by Jimmy Cliff. We just released our Muscle Shoals album on cd, and we think we've captured some of the magic of that amazing territory. We're now presenting live "The Tony Sarno Band plays the music of Muscle Shoals". With the core rhythm section, full horn section and female vocals, the band will play songs from the album, as well as some of the great Soul and Rock music recorded in Muscle Shoals. It makes for a great concert, or  any event that needs some rockin', dancin' party music. We'll see you out there!

Happiest of Holidays and peace and joy in the New Year!

Wishing everybody a happy, healthy, holiday season. Thanks so much for your generous support of my music, and I look forward to playing in your neighborhood in the new year. Please reach out if you want the band to play at your event or even in your living room!- Tony

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2021. The picture to the left is David Hood, myself, Ed Greene, and Clayton Ivey, tracking in Muscle Shoals a few weeks ago. We're presently finishing up the overdubs, setting up the cover, and then mix and pressing. We hope to release the second week of February. Please visit our store to preorder the album.

    Recording in Muscle Shoals

We started a campaign to get the new Tony Sarno blues album done in Muscle Shoals, and we want to invite you to be a big part of it. We normally record on a shoestring budget, but we feel that this project is too important to operate that way. We're basically asking people to pre-buy the cd and other merchandise, and in return, you'll be the first to hear the music, and even see the progress. Please click on the picture to the left, and pass it along to anyone else who might like to be a part of it.

    Thunderhawks video shoot

Shooting videos for The Thunderhawks songs "Spirit" and "Punchin' the Clock" in Ringold Georgia on 4th of July weekend. Standing in for Keith Christopher is Michael McLaughlin. Michael sang background vocals on the recording of "Punchin' the clock" and was Tony's long-time guitar tech extraordinaire (Michael....MORE GAIN!).
